This year the Annual Luncheon saw 73 members and guests of the malting industry dine in the beautiful historic surroundings of the Armourers’ Hall in London.

A different beer was served to complement each course of the meal again supplied by different brewers including Hall & Woodhouse, Hook Norton, Adnams, Yubberton and Innis & Gunn.

The meal was then rounded off with a range of fine Scotch Whiskies of which some were provided by our Distiller Maltster members Highland Distillers Plc.

Mr Simpson went on to introduce our guest speaker for the day Mr Tom Bradshaw who gave a very interesting speech.

Mr Tom Bradshaw, National Farmers Union, Chairman Combinable Crops Board

The Chairman thanked Mr Bradshaw for a very thought-provoking speech.

He went on to conclude the day’s business announcing the completion of his tenure as Chairman of the Association and thanked everyone for their support over the last two years.  He duly passed the chain of office over to Mr Adrian Dyter who thanked Mr Simpson for his work as chairman and presented him with a gift in recognition of his service.
